Your LinkedIn profile should do one job:
📣 Make someone immediately understand the problem you solve and why you’re a no-brainer to interview.
But most profiles? They read like corporate oatmeal.
Here’s how to fix it:
Step 1: Rewrite your headline for outcomes
❌ “Marketing Specialist at XYZ”
✅ “Helping B2B teams generate 6-figure pipeline via email and content strategy”
Step 2: Use the “About” section to sell your narrative
Use this 3-part formula:
What do you do?
What kind of problems have you solved?
Who should be contacting you?
Example:
“I’ve spent the last 5 years building marketing ops that actually drive pipeline — not vanity metrics. At my last role, we tripled MQL-to-demo conversion in under a quarter.
If you’re scaling a team and your lead quality is tanking, we should talk.”
Step 3: Pin proof
Your top 3 featured posts should show:
A project you led
A win with real numbers
A short post with your POV on your industry
Most people just “exist” on LinkedIn. The ones who get DMs?
They turn it into a landing page for their value.

Great ideas; I was already doing 1 & 2 but 3 seems so obvious, I’m wondering why I didn’t think of that myself.
