The Two-Level Leap
One contact of mine was tired of being “next in line” for a promotion that never came.
So he stopped waiting.
He built a simple proposal for a product idea that could drive revenue.
Then he walked past his manager and pitched it directly to the VP.
Guess what?
They didn’t scold him for skipping steps.
They fast-tracked him two levels up.
Here’s the lesson:
Don’t “wait your turn.”
Don’t assume the lane you’re in is the only lane.
Bold moves make bosses nervous.
They also make them pay attention.
