About Relentless
Relentless was created to revolutionize the way that people find jobs using AI and Machine Learning.
We know that the hiring system is broken. It’s becoming harder than ever to find solid, high-paying jobs, regardless of how strong your professional background is.
So we’ve made the process easier.
Our goal is to help busy, ambitious job seekers land their dream job in a fraction of the time they’d normally take, and with a fraction of the effort.
Some of our users have secured $50,000+ salary bumps. Others have doubled their income entirely.
And we won’t stop until we’ve been able to offer those same outcomes to billions of people around the world.
So if you’re as passionate as we are about leveling the hiring playing field, continue reading.
We might be the right place for you—and you might just be the new teammate we’re looking for.
About our founder
Founder, Kareem Abukhadra: Kareem is an immigrant entrepreneur in the United States on an O1 Visa, who bootstrapped Relentless to a 7-figure annual run rate.
Prior to working on Relentless, he was a talent strategy consultant at McKinsey and spent time in the venture tech scene, sourcing deals for notable investors including the founders of Netflix, Tinder, and Angel List.
For his undergraduate studies, Kareem studied labor markets and Economics at Columbia University, on a full-ride merit scholarship from the King of Saudi Arabia.
Our values
We’re a people-driven company, and (for very obvious reasons) we take hiring seriously.
We care deeply about your experience and accomplishments. But we care even more
about your values and how they’ll align with ours.
Here are a few we hold dear:
Proactiveness
We value people who take the bull by the horns. We personally try to proactively identify problems that need to be solved, come up with solutions, and push those solutions forward quickly. We’re looking for the same out of you, too.
Integrity
Our word matters. We do everything we can to speak with truth; if we say we’re going to do something, we do it. And if we fall short (because we’re human and we’ll all occasionally fall short), we own up to it, learn from it, and take accountability to make things right.
Excellence
We have audacious goals. That means we need to be audacious in the expectations we set for ourselves. We want to be the best in the world at what we do, and we want to help each other achieve those aims, too.
Joy
We genuinely enjoy the work we do, and we try to find joy in things both big and small. We believe that trying to be present in the “now” not only increases our effectiveness, it also allows us to enjoy our lives on a day-to-day basis.
Systems Thinking
We’re ops people at heart. We believe in building systems that take the guesswork out of our day to day lives, and then documenting those systems, simplifying them, and finally (if you’re interested in moving into a management role) delegating them to someone else.
What we’re looking for:
We're currently looking for a Chief of Staff. The Chief Of Staff is responsible for working on cross-functional projects across product, engineering, marketing, and sales.
Examples of projects you’ll own may include:
Marketing: We send 50K emails a week to potential customers to market Relentless; you’d be responsible for scaling that system to 100K+ a week and beyond.
Product: We submit 10s of thousands of applications a month for our candidates; you’d be responsible for improving our application to interview conversion rate.
We know what needs to be done for almost all projects; we just need someone to execute on the details with our guidance.
Expected career progression
Chief of staff --> Chief Operations Officer
What you have
First of all: we’re not expecting you to meet 100% of the criteria below. The list below contains skills and qualifications we think someone who’ll be successful in the role has probably attained.
But everyone’s career journey looks a little different.
Use the list below as a set of guidelines rather than strict requirements.
If you fit most of them, we want to see your application.
Willingness and ability to work 6-7 days a week: Our current culture and the scope of the responsibilities demands that you work 6 to 7 days a week. If growing your career isn’t your #1 priority right now, this role wouldn’t make sense for you.
Ability to learn quickly: We’re looking for someone who has the ability to learn new concepts quickly. If you’re the kind of person that prefers to stick to focusing on projects you already know how to execute on, this role wouldn’t make sense for you.
An interest in commission-driven / performance based cultures: A significant amount of your compensation would be results-based and commission driven. If you’re the kind of person that has a very high burn rate or isn’t comfortable with commission driven cultures, this role wouldn’t make sense for you.
A talent for systems-thinking / operations / process improvement: At Relentless, we believe that systems-thinking- the ability to create processes and automations designed to reduce the amount of manual work required- is one of the most important skills an employee can have. We’re looking for someone who knows how to take awkward, clunky systems and streamline and automate them to save both time and effort.
Experience with cold email: An ideal candidate will already have experience scaling cold email campaigns. For reference, we use tools like Smartlead, Signalhire, Dropcontact, and Scrubby.
Experience with LinkedIn outbound: An ideal candidate will already have experience scaling LinkedIn outbound campaigns. For reference, we use tools like Heyreach and LinkedIn recruiter to build scalable LinkedIn campaigns.
Experience in sales: An ideal candidate will have some experience in sales taking zoom calls with prospects and ideally selling to consumers.
Experience with Airtable and other no-code tools: An ideal candidate will have experience building systems on Airtable, stacker, Zapier, and Make and using other no-code tools.
Experience in engineering: An ideal candidate will have experience building scalable software. If you’ve built scalable software using Cursor AI, VS code, Github, AWS (or another cloud software), etc. you likely fit this constraint.
Experience building AI systems: An ideal candidate will have some experience with AI (LLMs, and so on).
Experience in the jobsearch / HR tech space: An ideal candidate will have some experience in the jobsearch / HR tech space. If you’ve worked for a competitor, even better!
As you can see, this is truly a cross-functional role. 1 & 2 solve for not perfectly fitting 3 onwards, which makes 1 & 2 our most important requirements.
Next steps
If it looks like Relentless might be a good fit for you and you'd like to submit an application, send an email to kareem@joinrelentless.com with subject line “Chief of Staff Application” and respond to the following questions:
Question 1: Look at the “What you have” section of this job description. Please provide context on each requirement and whether you fit or don’t fit it.
Example answer:
1. Willingness and ability to work 6-7 days a week: I’m willing and able to work 6-7 days a week. Growing my career is important to me right now because I’m in my 20s and trying to learn as much as possible to set me up for success over the next few decades.
2. Ability to learn quickly: I’m great at learning new things quickly. I am concerned that you might need someone to ramp up faster than I might be able to though [etc.]
[Insert the rest of the numbers and your response to each one. If you have specific metrics and outcomes you’ve driven such as “I’ve run campaigns to send 50,000+ cold emails a week”, then list them in your response as well]
Question 2: Attach your LinkedIn to the email.
Question 3: What’s your number?
Question 4: Where are you currently based? And are you willing to relocate in 6 months to an in-office environment?
